Job Summary
The Role: Support Technician in R&D Operations based onsite in Rochester, NY. Responsibilities include daily lab walkthroughs to check equipment and manage regulated medical waste, weekly lab coat collection, safety inspections and Gemba walks to improve lab efficiency, quality checks on Design History File documents in PLM, scanning and uploading hard-copy records into PLM, managing dock and incoming packages, supporting sample retrieval requests from a biorepository, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires Associate’s degree with 1 year of related experience (or two years without a degree), strong organizational and multitasking abilities, and good written/spoken communication. Preferred GLP knowledge and understanding of lab samples/handling. Salary range is $20-$24 per hour, onsite in Rochester, with a comprehensive benefits package; visa sponsorship is not available. The Working Environment includes a mix of lab and office settings with potential handling of hazardous materials and viruses, up to 75% time at a desk or in meetings, and flexible hours to meet project deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree and one year of experience in a related field or two years and no degree
- Strong organization & multitasking ability
- Good written and verbal communication
- Proofreading skills
- Basic software proficiency
- Ability to triage questions effectively
