Job Summary
Implement developmentally appropriate activities supporting children's social, physical, cognitive, and language growth while maintaining classroom ratios and coverage. Prepare materials and classrooms for early care and learning, assist with general tasks including laundry and common area cleaning, and support evening meetings and events. Follow sanitation guidelines in food preparation and cleaning procedures, utilize the timekeeping system, and complete required trainings under CHS policy HRD-P-022. Maintain Infant Toddler CPR and First Aid certification and promote a positive safety culture by adhering to all safety policies. Work part-time (30 hours) Monday through Friday with specific shifts to be determined.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or High School Equivalency Test (GED/HiSET)
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills
- Maintains Infant Toddler CPR and First Aid certification
- Medical exam and TB Assessment
- Background screening to include fingerprinting
- The ability to learn and follow CHS policy, procedure, practice, and structure
- The ability to demonstrates strong working knowledge of HS Performance Standards, MO Childcare Licensing, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), and sanitation regulations and requirements, developmentally appropriate practices
