Job Summary
Provide supervision and daily class functions for a group of children in Primrose School of Firewheel. Implement approved lesson plans and the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum, promote social, emotional, cognitive and physical development, maintain an attractive and well-kept classroom, acknowledge and guide children's behavior, perform routine housekeeping duties of the classroom and playgrounds, attend required staff meetings and functions, and support the Director as needed. Requires lifting up to 35 lbs and knowledge of early childhood education basics; preferred qualifications include a two-year degree in early childhood or related field and/or CDA. Required Qualifications
- Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.
- Two-year degree in early childhood or related field preferred.
- Degree, preferably in Early Childhood Education or Child Development-related field, and/or CDA
- Knowledgeable in elementary-aged curriculum with emphasis on literacy, mathematics and science
- Two-year degree in early childhood or related field preferred.
