Job Summary
Substitute Teacher for infants and toddlers (6 weeks to 3 years) within the Early Head Start program at Child Development Resources in Williamsburg, VA. Provide staffing support, assist with developmentally appropriate care and education in a nurturing environment, foster growth across social, emotional, nutritional, and physical development, support classroom routines and learning activities, partner with families to support individual learning needs, and help maintain a safe, healthy, engaging learning environment. Role supports the federally funded EHS program and offers flexible, as-needed scheduling with paid training opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience working with infants and young toddlers in a group care setting
- Experience providing safe, healthy, responsive caregiving and developmentally appropriate learning activities
- Flexibility to work on an as-needed basis
- Knowledge of child safety, nutrition, and inclusive early learning practices
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine love for working with children
