Job Summary
As a full-time Support Staff Teacher at Primrose School of North Raleigh, you will be responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. Primary duties include assessing each child's developmental needs, implementing approved lesson plans, maintaining a well-kept classroom, and providing verbal recognition to children. Candidates must meet local child care regulatory requirements, have knowledge of young children's needs, and be physically capable of handling children.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations
- For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
- Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
