Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating. Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure residents' safety and comfort. Administer medications and assist with medication management under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or work to appropriate personnel. Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote socialization and mental stimulation. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including resident rooms, common areas, and dining areas. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring and supportive atmosphere. Shift: AM for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as caregiver or support staff
- Incorporating Harm Reduction
- Informed Trauma Training
- De-escalation techniques
- Prior involvement in caregiving or support roles
- Prior involvement in caregiving or support roles within environments such as homeless shelters or comparable settings
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication abilities
- Compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Capacity to effectively collaborate within a team dynamic
- Capacity to navigate challenging scenarios with sensitivity and tact
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as caregiver or support staff is a plus
