Job Summary
Provide trauma-informed, on-site support for families residing in Just Compassion’s 50-unit family shelter. Monitor facility safety, assist participants with immediate needs, document activities and incidents, and ensure effective communication between shifts. Deliver compassionate, participant-centered support; follow trauma-informed care principles; maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries; coordinate with supervisors and external responders during incidents; assist with scheduling, transportation, and daily needs; and participate in ongoing shelter operations and trainings. Apply housing-first and harm-reduction approaches in all interactions while supporting a calm, safe shelter environment and accurate records.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in shelter operations, residential services, human services, or a related field
