Job Summary
Support daily living activities, personal care, and hygiene for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities while coaching independent living skills and community integration. Follow person-centered plans and behavioral strategies, ensuring accurate, timely documentation and medication assistance per policy. Maintain a clean, safe environment, adhere to health and safety protocols, and communicate professionally with individuals served, families, and team members. Must be dog friendly, hold a valid driver's license, and be available for 12-hour shifts, including 48-hour weekend rotations.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years old
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CA driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Auto insurance
- Able to pass DOJ/FBI background check (Live Scan)
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Current CPR/First Aid and TB/health screening
- Ability to assist with transfers
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
- Must be available to work 12-hour shifts
- Must be available to work 48-hour weekend shifts as scheduled
- Weekend availability
- Ability to complete a Live Scan background check immediately upon receiving a job offer
- Ability to work in Fair Oaks/Sacramento California
- Typical availability (mornings/days/evenings/overnights/weekends)
- Comfort with providing personal care
