Support Shotfirer

Plan and execute blasting operations in line with approved blasting designs and site plans. Manage, transport, store, and prepare explosives and detonators safely according to regulatory standards. Set up blast holes, charge explosives, connect initiation systems, and conduct controlled detonations. Conduct pre-blast safety checks, including clearing and securing the blast area, and notify personnel. Monitor blast outcomes, assess effectiveness, and report on blast performance. Maintain detailed records of blasting activities, including blast logs, explosive usage, and incident reports. Adhere to mining site safety procedures, legal requirements, and environmental regulations. Perform regular inspections and maintenance of blasting equipment. Participate in safety meetings, training, and audits related to blasting operations. Collaborate with mining engineers and other Technical Services personnel to optimize blast design and sequencing. Ability to mentor and train junior shotfirers or new team members.
