Job Summary
Conduct terminal cleaning of patient rooms, disinfect high-touch surfaces, and manage hazardous waste to support infection prevention. Safely transport patients using wheelchairs or stretchers, assist with clinical transfers, and deliver meal trays while ensuring diet accuracy. Maintain outdoor grounds through mowing, trimming, and snow clearing, and monitor parking lots for debris and safety hazards. Report urgent repairs and equipment issues promptly, and comply with HIPAA and all departmental safety guidelines. Flexible day and evening shifts available; no night shifts required. Internal candidates must remain in good standing and pass departmental skills assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to interpret and apply simple instructions
- Must be able to comprehend the spoken English language
- Must be able to communicate and read the English language
- Must be able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English
- Must be able to lift, pushing, pulling, or moving items up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand, walk, bending, or remaining stationary for extended periods
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, including exposure to varying weather conditions
- Must be able to use hands and arms for handling equipment, tools, or materials
- Internal candidates must remain in good standing and have no formal disciplinary documentation, including attendance violations
- Internal candidates will have achieved the minimum necessary scoring criteria, evidenced by the departmental skills assessment tool
Desired Qualifications
- Preferably a high school graduate or equivalent
- Experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, transportation, food service, environmental cleaning, or parking operations
- Strong customer service and communication skills
