Job Summary
Support Operator role performing secondary manufacturing operations to support production; operate centerless and Acme grinders, planers, table saws, automated equipment, and balers; read production schedules, prepare materials, conduct in-process inspections and quality checks, record production data, and move products through the line using PMVs. Requires basic measurement skills (tape measures, micrometers), strong mechanical aptitude, safety awareness, and teamwork to maintain quality, efficiency, and low downtime. Needs ability to follow SOPs/WIs/JSAs, maintain clean 5S-compliant work areas, and participate in training and cross-functional activities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow SDS sheets, SOPs, Work Instructions (WIs), and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs)
- Working knowledge of measuring equipment such as tape measures and micrometers
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting ability
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Computer literate and able to complete basic data entry
- Physically able to perform essential production tasks
- Commitment to safety and the company’s “Injury Free Concept.”
