Job Summary
Coordinate, supervise, train, and support volunteers within the Migration Support program in Tasmania. Assist with projects while ensuring services provide dignity, respect, and cultural responsiveness to vulnerable migrants. Manage records and utilize Microsoft Office tools for general office administration. This role requires Nepali and English language skills, plus experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Applicants must hold a Working with Vulnerable People check. Hourly rate starts at $40.49 plus casual loading and superannuation, with salary packaging available. Applications close 27 August 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Nepali and English language skills
- An understanding of issues affecting people impacted by migration
- Experience in working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
- Experience in coordinating, managing, training and supporting volunteers
- Sound project coordination experience
- Excellent general office administration and records management skills
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Highly developed organisational and time management skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, such as outlook, word and excel
- Working with vulnerable people check
