Job Summary
Oversee daily store operations by managing opening and closing procedures, handling cash security, and acting as Manager on Duty for urgent issues. Train crew members on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience and ensure fast, friendly checkouts while driving sales through optimized merchandising and staff performance. Supervise associates, handle stock receiving and unpacking, and perform maintenance tasks including cleaning bathrooms and sweeping. Support onboarding and ongoing training for new hires on store policies and product knowledge. This part-time role requires a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts, with a starting hourly rate of $11.50.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Minimum 1 years of management experience
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require day, evening, weekends and may include overnight shifts and travel (as required)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to perform all essential job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws
- Ability to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
- Ability to frequently operate cash register
- Ability to frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Ability to frequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock
- Ability to frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor
- Ability to frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers
- Ability to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Ability to frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, as well as to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise
