Job Summary
Oversee daily store operations and manage the entire process of opening or closing the store, including securing cash, locking doors, and ensuring smooth daily execution. Train crew members on the B.E.S.T. customer service experience, ensure items are quickly placed on the sales floor, and assist with receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock. Act as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for staff management, addressing urgent issues, and driving store sales through optimized merchandising and customer service. Perform store maintenance tasks such as cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, and taking out garbage while maintaining stock room organization. This hourly part-time role requires a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including day, evening, weekends, and overnight shifts. Starting at $15.50 per hour, this position supports the growth of Five Below, a leading retailer offering trend-right products priced between $1 and $5.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Minimum 1 years of management experience
- Ability to multi-task
- Creative thinking
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require day, evening, weekends and may include overnight shifts and travel (as required)
- Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
- Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
- Frequently operate cash register
- Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Frequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock
- Frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor
- Frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
