Job Summary
Oversee daily store operations by managing opening and closing procedures, supervising crew members, and ensuring all associates deliver the B.E.S.T. customer service experience. Direct staff training on store policies and product knowledge while actively driving sales through optimized merchandising and expense control. Handle urgent issues as Manager on Duty, assist with receiving and organizing new stock, and perform essential maintenance tasks including cleaning and stock room organization. Work a flexible schedule covering days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts in a retail environment featuring over 1,900 locations across 46 states.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate
- Minimum 1 years of management experience
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require day, evening, weekends and may include overnight shifts and travel (as required)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to perform all essential job functions in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws
- Ability to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
- Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
- Ability to frequently operate cash register
- Ability to frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and places/removes merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Ability to frequently ascend/descend ladders in order to retrieve and put away stock
- Ability to frequently position self to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor
- Ability to frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face in the store, as well as with managers and coworkers
- Ability to exchange accurate information in these situations
- Ability to frequently move across the sales floor assisting customers, as well as to and from the stock room retrieving and putting away merchandise
