Job Summary
Oversee daily store operations by managing opening and closing procedures, acting as Manager on Duty, and ensuring all crew members deliver the B.E.S.T. customer service experience. Train associates on store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures while driving sales through optimized merchandising and staff performance. Handle receiving, unpacking, and organizing new stock to ensure efficient placement on the sales floor, and perform store maintenance including cleaning and stock room organization. Frequently operate cash registers, move merchandise up to 25 lbs, and assist customers across the sales floor. Requires flexible scheduling including days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 1 years of management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Creative thinking
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
- Must be able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in situations involving telephone and face-to-face communication with customers, managers, and coworkers
- Must be able to lift merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to place and remove merchandise up to a height of 5-10 feet
- Must be able to ascend and descend ladders
- Must be able to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require day, evening, weekends, and may include overnight shifts and travel (as required)
