Job Summary
Support Home Provider (SHP) duties involve in-home assistance to clients with activities of daily living, including laundry, housekeeping, attending medical appointments, administering medications, meal planning and preparation, budgeting, and recreation. SHPs provide support typically in mornings, evenings, and weekends, and may live in the client’s home or share living space. The role is a contractor position with tax-free status and no traditional employee benefits. Requirements include a Disability Studies diploma or equivalent experience, current First Aid/CPR/AED, a satisfactory police vulnerable sectors check, and a vehicle/valid driver’s license. The position is based in the South Calgary area, with in-person remote options indicated.
Required Qualifications
- Maintains and utilizes current Emergency or Standard First Aid that includes CPR/AED
- A current police information check with a vulnerable sectors search that is satisfactory to CASS
- Diploma or equivalent experience in Disability Studies
- A vehicle and valid driver's license is considered an asset.
