Job Summary
Support Engineer role supporting NATO NCIA/NCI Agency projects with COTS application support, deploying and managing server apps on Windows or Linux, integrating applications with identity providers, and providing second/third-level end-user support. Responsibilities include gathering and reporting KPIs, cloud configuration (Azure/AWS), managing EntraID Groups and Roles, ensuring SLA-aligned incident logging and resolution, knowledge base maintenance, and collaboration with vendor and internal teams to improve service delivery. Required skills include end-user device and server infrastructure knowledge (Windows, Linux, AD), cloud and security competencies (PKI, OAuth/OIDC/SAML2), application/server technologies (.NET/C#, Java, JavaScript, IIS, SQL Server), and strong communication with customers. The role requires NATO nationality and a NATO Secret (or national equivalent) security clearance; travel to NATO sites may be required. Working location: Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium (Hybrid: 50% onsite / 50% offsite). Working in an international environment with military and civilian elements. Working policy includes some travel and security clearance. Some familiarity with Atlassian products and CIS security directives is beneficial.
Required Qualifications
- Nationality of one of the NATO nations
- NATO Secret Security Clearance or national equivalent
- Experience with end-user support and incident management
- Experience with Windows and Linux server environments
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and identity management
- Strong troubleshooting and customer-service orientation
- Ability to work in an international environment with cross-functional teams
