Support Engineer, SAP ABAP/BTP

Job Summary
The Support Engineer, SAP ABAP/BTP supports mission-critical SAP applications, providing remote assistance globally. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, researching issues, and developing fixes for SAP modules in both 4.x and ECC environments using ABAP programming. The role requires understanding client needs, ensuring effective communication with departments, and delivering technical support, along with design and implementation of cloud services on SAP BTP. Candidates should have over five years of experience with ABAP and BTP, strong analytical skills, and experience with Brazil localization requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in the field of ABAP and FIORI programming and SAP modules
- 5+ years’ experience in BTP (administration and integration skills)
- 3+ years knowledge of SAP systems such as FI/CO, MM and SD
- Prior experience in object-oriented programming, ABAP lists and other related fields
- Hands-on experience with SAP BTP (Cloud Foundry, Destinations, Connectivity, CI/CD pipelines)
- Design and exposure of OData/REST APIs and API Management on BTP
- Experience with SAP CAP (Node/Java) and ABAP RAP programming models
- Proven ability to develop and troubleshoot Brazil localization requirements
- Advanced performance analysis and optimization using SAP tools
- Collaboration with BW/Analytics teams
- Security best practices for ABAP and BTP developments
- Experience working in highly customized environments
- Ability to handle critical incidents in SLA-driven environments
- Proven track record in documentation and knowledge transfer activities
- Deep working knowledge and understanding of supporting business processes
- Analytical, logical problem resolution skills
Desired Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of multiple SAP modules across releases (4.x & ECC)
- Knowledge of any Country Specific Solutions would be an advantage
- Consulting background would be useful
- Experience with localizations and global implementations would be an advantage
