Job Summary
Own the full lifecycle of customer issues for ClickHouse strategic accounts on Alibaba Cloud in the China region — from intake to root-cause analysis, resolution, and post-incident follow-up; triage and classify cases; diagnose SQL performance, schema design, replication, and ingestion pipelines; advise on capacity planning and configuration tuning; escalate through the global engineering teams when needed; collaborate with the China Engineering Manager to define SLAs and escalation paths; contribute to internal tooling and documentation in English and Chinese as helpful; build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in technical support, DBA, SRE, or database engineering serving enterprise customers
- Experience operating ClickHouse or other SQL databases in production
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (Alibaba Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication in Chinese and English
- Nice to Have: Kubernetes, Terraform, Shell or Python scripting, C++ code reading
- Ability to write and optimize complex SQL
- Strong Linux fundamentals and debugging production systems
- Knowledge of distributed database internals (replication, sharding, consensus)
