Job Summary
Support Coordinator II in a Pain Management Clinic: coordinates multiple appointments across multi-specialty services, handles intake, phone coverage, referrals management, appointment scheduling (including surgery, labs, diagnostics), processing medical records and insurance verification/authorization, and facilitates patient communications and billing-related tasks to ensure smooth outpatient flow and high patient satisfaction. Requires ability to enter data accurately, provide courteous patient service, and collaborate with clinicians and staff in a fast-paced ambulatory care environment.
Required Qualifications
- Req High School or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability in customer service, intake and scheduling
- Proven record of dealing with the public in a customer service role
- Familiarity with word processing, Microsoft Outlook, navigating the intranet, interpret online queries
- Preferably with GE Centricity Business, Cerner, PBAR, scheduling systems
- Must have excellent communication skills (English)
- Must be highly flexible, proactive, able to work under pressure and in a team environment
- Knowledge of insurance plans and types of coverage including government programs
- Ability to process new referrals in a timely manner
- Demonstrated ability and knowledge in patients scheduling
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
