Job Summary
Support Cashier – Soma: Handles POS transactions, merchandise handling, stock processing, and stockroom organization to support store sales operations. Replenishes and merchandises stock, processes receiving documents, participates in transfers, and assists with visual directives and signage. Delivers MAPS customer service, ensures a fast and efficient register experience, and promotes rewards programs including sign-ups for gift cards. Works in a fast-paced retail environment, collaborates with team members, and supports store-wide merchandising and layout changes. Must communicate effectively, be able to learn company technology, and maintain flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. This role emphasizes teamwork, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask while standing for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous stock or cashier experience preferred
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work the majority of the shift standing
- Ability to work quickly and within strict timelines
- Ability to demonstrate teamwork
- Exposure to visual merchandising and product placement techniques desired
- Regular attendance is essential to this position to ensure adequate coverage
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required
