Job Summary

The Business Support Specialist II coordinates clerical support for the assigned program, ensuring smooth office operations. Responsibilities include checking in clients via MyAvatar, ensuring therapy schedules are entered accurately, managing day-to-day visit status, maintaining scheduling calendars, handling external/internal communications, creating and maintaining client records in MyAvatar or other EHR systems, checking benefit status (co-pay/deductible/self-pay), maintaining waiting room presentation, gathering medical records, completing initial eligibility and benefits check for insurance, coordinating referrals and communications, scheduling monthly training, maintaining attendance logs, performing general office duties (copying/faxing/scanning within three business days), coordinating team supplies with leadership, and attending regional/team meetings. Competencies include ethics, confidentiality, analytical skills, teamwork, multitasking, and adaptability. Required education is a High School Diploma with 2–3 years of progressive customer service experience; preferred experience in MH/MR settings and some college or technical training; basic MS Excel and MS Office skills and experience using electronic health records (EHRs).
