Job Summary
Receive, inspect, store, issue, and dispose of medical supplies and equipment while verifying shipments against documentation. Route materials to designated locations, store and palletize inventory using prescribed methods, and prepare items for shipment. Perform routine inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and monitor materials for damage, deterioration, or expiration. Transport supplies between facilities and operate hand trucks safely. Maintain warehouse cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, removing debris, and recycling packaging. Apply special handling procedures for controlled items, medical gases, hazardous materials, and refrigerated supplies. Follow OSHA and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health regulations, wear required PPE, and lift up to 50 pounds. Maintain accurate inventory records within established supply systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a warehouse, supply, or logistics environment
- Working knowledge of U.S. Air Force supply systems, including the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system
- Familiarity with military supply policies, procedures, nomenclature, and inventory management practices
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to safely operate hand trucks and material handling equipment
- Knowledge of OSHA and Air Force Occupational Safety and Health (AFOSH) safety standards
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform routine physical warehouse activities, including standing, walking, bending, and moving supplies
- Ability to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to performance
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field
- Experience working in a Military Treatment Facility (MTF) logistics department
- Prior U.S. Air Force logistics experience, particularly as a 4A1 Medical Logistics specialist
- Experience handling controlled medical items, hazardous materials, or cold-chain medical supplies
- Experience with DMLSS inventory management and medical warehouse operations
- Medical supply experience
