Job Summary
Deliver requested supplies and equipment from Distribution to user departments under direct supervision. Process pick tickets, stage orders for external deliveries, and obtain signatures to verify special orders. Break down pallets, verify items and expiration dates, and put received supplies into inventory. Safely operate manual or electric pallet jacks to transport items to requestors. Initiate communication with purchasing or vendors regarding inbound supply issues. Perform scheduled rounds, assemble specialty kits, and complete all stat runs as necessary. Return and sanitize the work area before and after each assigned shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid NC Real ID driver's license (or valid United States Passport if not Real ID)
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language
- Ability to interact with other employees in CS as well as other departments in the facility
- Ability to be flexible to daily changes in operational and patient care issues
- Discretion in the proper handling of confidential information
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate these when necessary
- Ability to see and hear
- Capable of withstanding fatigue associated with continuous walking and standing
- Capable of delivering supplies and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing carts with rolling weight of up to 100 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year previous hospital experience
- 3 months' experience consistently performing tasks for Tech I
