Supply Technician I-Part Time-Variable - Distribution

Job Summary
Deliver requested supplies and equipment from Distribution to various user departments and walk-in customers under direct supervision. Process pick tickets, stage orders for external deliveries, and obtain signatures to verify special orders. Break down pallets, put away received inventory, and verify items, manufacturer codes, expiration dates, and quantities. Safely operate manual or electric pallet jacks to transport supplies and equipment to requestors. Perform mailroom duties, initiate communication regarding inbound supply issues, and conduct scheduled rounds from Central Supply. Assemble specialty kits for restocking and return work areas to proper condition after each shift.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Reads, writes, and speaks fluent English
- Discretion in the proper handling of confidential information
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to see and hear
- Capable of withstanding fatigue associated with continuous walking and standing
- Capable of delivering supplies and lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Capable of pushing carts with rolling weight of up to 100 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year previous hospital experience
- 3 months' experience consistently performing tasks for Tech I
