Job Summary
Review and process supply requisitions, manage inventory storage, and catalog medical and dental consumables using the DMLSS automated system. Fulfill warehouse functions including shipping, receiving, stacking, and distribution while maintaining 95% stock levels and replenishing empty bins within six hours. Safeguard materials and equipment, challenge unauthorized personnel, and operate forklifts or government vehicles as needed. Process an average of nine transactions per hour, adjust par levels with the Inventory Manager, and ensure 100% compliance with DHA and BUMED requirements. Support the supply petty officer with source screening and GCPC waivers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency
- Valid forklift operator's license for the size vehicle to be operated
- Valid USFJ driver's license and U.S. Government Motor Vehicle permit (Optional Form OF346) to operate light truck, step-van or sedan to transport requisitioned material to end-user spaces
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English clearly
- Ability to use standard office equipment, such as personal computers, copiers, fax machines, and telephone systems
- Knowledge of medical ethics, telephone etiquette, and excellent communication and customer service skills
- Possess the necessary supply technical skills to carry out all supply duties and be proficient in such areas as inventory control, supply distribution, storage and shipping, cataloging, and preservation, and packaging
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds unaided
- Ability to process an average of twenty (20) transactions per hour as reference to TASK 1 of the Performance Work Statement
- Ability to process an average of forty (40) transactions per hour as reference to TASK 2 of the Performance Work Statement
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision
