Job Summary
Conduct infant, toddler, and preschool care at SimplySmart Child Care Centre's Oakville location, documenting observations and engaging children aged 6 months to 4 years. Maintain compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, including up-to-date immunizations, TB testing, and medical clearance. Provide on-call supply coverage with 6-8 hour shifts, communicating effectively with parents while adhering to all regulatory rules and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- RECE
- ECA
- experience with documenting observations
- ability to engage children in infant, toddler and pre-school age
- up to date with the Child Care and Early Years Act
- knowledge of all the rules and regulations under the Act
- Love working with children
- ability to take direction
- ability to work as a team
- adaptable with a positive attitude
- ability to communicate with parents effectively
- ability to communicate difficult information gently
- registration to the College
- First Aid and CPR Level C
- TB test upon hire
- Criminal Reference Check
- Medical Clearance
- up to date immunizations (tetanus, MMR, varicella, hep B & influenza)
