Job Summary
Abbott is seeking a Supply Planner to analyze planning requirements and initiate action to support the production schedule and material demand, plan and manage inventory and materials, act as the primary liaison with other departments for production and material-related concerns, facilitate regular operations meetings and provide production status updates, support the department with administrative and tactical tasks, contribute to short-, mid-, and long-term goals, and lead/execute production planning and scheduling processes as well as material management. Candidates should demonstrate initiative, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, proficiency with databases and computer software, strong organizational and project management abilities, and the capacity to develop contingency plans through comprehensive evaluation of alternatives.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience or exposure within a regulated environment to sufficiently demonstrate the core job responsibilities of the position
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
