Job Summary
Supply Officer II responsible for managing the flow of materials to the facility and serving as the first point of contact for Logistics on ordering, planning, and issues related to direct ordered material. Manages a portfolio of suppliers, coordinates forecast and reordering tasks (including VMI) to ensure on-time, quality, and cost-efficient delivery. Activities include New Product Introduction coordination with suppliers, PO/materIal tracking, maintaining contractual logistics data, and cross-functional collaboration with Production, Quality, Engineering, and IT. Requires Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in related field with several years of experience, proficiency in SAP/R3 and Google Suite, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to work with international teams. The role offers relocation assistance and a comprehensive compensation package; on-site position with potential travel as needed. The position is located at the Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility in North Carolina and requires current work authorization in the US.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3-5 years’ experience or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Technology, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management with 2-4 years experience
- Proficiency with SAP/R3
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in supply chain management or logistics
- Ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively in English
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation
- Ability to work in intercultural, multifunction teams
- Ability to drive and challenge supplier performance
- Good teamwork ethic
