Job Summary
General Supply Clerk responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and maintaining inventory of supplies, materials, equipment, and stock; ensures accurate inventory records, conducts physical counts, reconciles discrepancies, and prepares inventory reports; coordinates with vendors and procurement; supports ordering and replenishment; ensures proper handling, storage, and safety of supplies; maintains organized stockroom and uses manual or computerized inventory systems.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in inventory management or logistics is an advantage
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, supply management, or clerical work preferred
- Basic knowledge of inventory management principles and stock control procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with inventory management software is a plus
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately
- Ability to lift and move supplies and materials when required
