Job Summary
Ensure all medical surgical supplies and physician preference devices are available for scheduled and emergency procedures by monitoring inventory levels and accessing the EPIC scheduling module in advance of case dates. Collaborate with Patient Care Coordinators, nursing management, and clinical leadership to respond to schedule changes and achieve a zero-defects environment for supply availability. Manage multi-million dollar expenditures by ordering, purchasing, and tracking implants, bone, and tissue products while maintaining accurate lot numbers and monitoring expiration dates. Act as a liaison between supply chain, vendors, and risk management to expedite high-priority repairs and ensure chain of custody for tissue products. Participate in standardization initiatives, annual physical inventory, and cost reduction efforts to optimize surgical and interventional equipment utilization.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years Supply chain, materials management, procurement, inventory control, or healthcare managing significant dollar value and complex inventories
- Demonstrates knowledge of PCs, other related devices, and software
- Lift over 50 lbs
- Push/pull up to 140 lbs
- Carry 80 lbs short distances
- Frequent standing/walking, squatting, kneeling, crawling, climbing and reaching overhead
- Monday - Friday 7:00 - 11:00 AM
