Job Summary
Manage purchase orders for engineering, manufacturing, and operational needs while requesting supplier quotations and comparing pricing, lead times, and capabilities. Track orders to ensure timely delivery, coordinate with suppliers to resolve shortages and quality issues, and build relationships with subcontractors. Monitor inventory levels, support material planning, and assist with receiving and reconciliation within the ERP system. Work closely with engineering to source prototype components and track critical hardware and long-lead items. Help identify alternate suppliers to reduce supply risk and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or manufacturing operations
- Experience supporting manufacturing or engineering organizations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams
- U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident
Desired Qualifications
- Aerospace or defense industry experience
- Experience supporting prototype or low-volume manufacturing
- Familiarity with machining, fabrication, electronics, or aerospace components
- Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and ITAR requirements
- Experience working in a startup environment
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship skills
- Passion for the commercial and national security space industry
