Job Summary

Oversee and plan all aspects of purchasing from pre-bid to closeout, including negotiating commercial terms with equipment vendors, material vendors, and subcontractors to minimize project risk. Direct and coordinate buying activities, process requisitions, and prepare purchase orders while maintaining records of goods received. Provide detailed risk assessments, manage expediting and delivery schedules, and oversee procurement analytics and reporting. Resolve vendor grievances and enforce purchasing policies through training and communication with the project team. Implement project mobilization activities and coordinate with material management to ensure proper receiving and control.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, construction management, engineering, or equivalent degree
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in engineering and/or construction or related field
  • Must have experience in vendor and subcontractor management, including evaluation, selection, performance management, and contract closeout
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) with general knowledge of database utilization
  • Knowledge of equipment and materials common in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects
  • Detail-oriented, flexible and highly motivated with a strong work ethic and professional demeanor
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills for both managerial and client interfacing
  • Team player with the ability to also work independently to meet fixed deadlines, goals and objectives
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Regular, reliable attendance
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely
  • Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
  • Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies
  • Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines
  • Work overtime and weekends as required

Desired Qualifications

  • SAP experience is a plus
