Supply Chain Specialist (Defense Procurement)

Job Summary
Montreal-based Supply Chain Specialist (Defense Procurement) will analyze requirements and contracts, build relationships with internal/external collaborators, support sourcing strategies for defense development programs, identify cost-optimization opportunities, negotiate terms with suppliers, track KPIs, and lead/assist with RFP processes and purchase orders. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in business/management or engineering (preferred), 10+ years in procurement/supply chain management with 5+ years in a defense context, strong written/spoken communication, proficiency with ERP/SAP/DFARS/ITAR, and experience with pricing tools (ProPricer) and dashboards (Power BI). Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident with ability to obtain security clearances; bilingual English/French required with on-site Montreal presence and up to 10% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business/management or engineering (preferred); other forms of education will be considered
- minimum 10 years of experience in proposal, procurement, or supply chain management
- minimum 5 years in a defense or equivalent role, interacting with a variety of state actors (e.g., US Department of Defense)
- strong communication and presentation skills; ability to interface at all levels of the organization
- exceptional organization in managing documentation and supplier data, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and compliance (negotiations, purchase orders)
- Canadian permanent resident or Canadian citizen, and ability to obtain required security clearances
- familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and defense contracting practices/laws (US FAR/DFARS)
- experience with proposal pricing tools (e.g., ProPricer) and dashboards (e.g., Power BI)
- experience managing defense and US DoD purchase orders
- on-site presence in Montreal at least two days per week
- willingness to travel up to 10% domestically and/or internationally
- bilingual in English and French; additional languages are an advantage
