Job Summary
Analyze customer forecasts and trends using Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) concepts to plan and buy-to-forecast. Prepare forecast models while liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and sales, to assess feasibility. Apply inventory management discipline to assess inventory levels and aging. Participate in program setup and maintenance, such as part profiles, new part additions, and End of Life transitions, recommending modifications to enhance efficiency. Negotiate with suppliers on channel and distributor policy decisions and monitor business processes to drive improved supply chains. Align company goals with suppliers to ensure mutual objectives are achieved.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of work experience
- Thorough knowledge of principles, theories and concepts in area of discipline
- Competence in all job functions
- General understanding of industry practices, techniques and standards
- Ability to develop solutions for a variety of situations
- Ability to work on projects requiring evaluation and analysis
- Ability to determine best course of action to achieve results
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion
- Ability to collaborate with management and team members
- Ability to represent department internally or externally
