Supply Chain Planning Supervisor

Job Summary
Coordinate and plan data and bill of materials (BOM) integrities for purchased and manufactured parts across all Dayton branch plants. Monitor and maintain planning data within e1, oversee materials team members running reports to input data and place orders, and update style forecasts. Coordinate research, planning, and ordering for engineering changes, drop styles, and new implementations between production, R&D, and purchasing. Investigate shortages and inventory abnormalities, reconcile negative balances, and lead auditing and problem-solving processes to ensure accurate inventory levels. Perform cycle count adjustments, inventory transfers, and month-end transactions while maintaining cooperation with Purchasing to meet vendor and plant requirements. Ensure Dayton branch plants have necessary materials to produce, assemble, and ship quality furniture on-time.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree
- 4-6 years of experience in inventory systems management
- 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience in inventory system management
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Knowledge of JD Edwards or similar inventory management system
- Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP)
- Knowledge of lean supply techniques
- Knowledge of material handling equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to hold teams accountable and drive process improvements
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Just-in-Time (JIT) tools
- Ability to communicate and work with various levels of management and team members
- Professional attitude
- Positive image of La-Z-Boy to all customers, both internal and external
- Self-motivated with the ability to take on responsibilities and handle employee issues without constant supervision and direction
- Ability to clearly write reports, memos, and emails
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 lbs

- CPIM certification (APICS)
- Familiarity with Agile and how to read a print
