Job Summary
Develop material strategies and execute Material Program Plans for complex programs, managing cost and schedule while facilitating Make/Buy decisions. Own material requirements to meet production build schedules, gather estimate at complete data, and support budget price variance and on-time delivery goals. Mitigate program risks by coordinating with subcontractors and purchasing, representing Supply Chain to customers and program management, and serving on review boards. Communicate material status to leadership and escalate issues as required.
Required Qualifications
- US Government DoD Secret Clearance
- US Citizen
- 5 years with a Bachelor's, 3 years with a Master's, or 9 years direct experience in lieu of degree
- Earned Value/CAM experience
- Understanding and experience of bill of materials and line of balance
- Experience providing material program strategies for programs with numerous end items and variations
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time
- Thorough knowledge of purchasing and planning, material procurement, MRP/ERP planning and transactions, BOM structures, and material estimating and Basis of Estimate creation
- Understanding of FAR/DFAR Regulations
- Self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management and the external customer
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to set the appropriate priorities to the many tasks that they will be required to perform
- Experience leading teams
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel and analyzing material data
Desired Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience from a large DoD organization
- Deep understanding of supply chain management and program management
- Excellent presentation skills
- Experience with Costpoint system(s)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep internal customers, suppliers and the external customer informed
- Ability to set the appropriate priorities to the many tasks that they will be required to perform
