Job Summary
Manage the end-to-end Direct Import program from purchase order receipt through final delivery, serving as the primary contact for customer replenishment and Asia order management teams. Review and validate import orders, coordinate with overseas suppliers on production schedules, and optimize container bookings with freight forwarders to minimize costs. Create international shipping documentation, monitor on-water inventory, and proactively communicate delays with recovery options to customers and sales. Prepare recurring inventory reports, analyze demand variability for safety stock adjustments, and conduct ad hoc analysis for cost reduction and process improvement. Support customer line reviews, new-item setup, and weekly metric reporting while maintaining system data integrity for assigned items.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics from a four-year college or university
- No less than 3 years of progressive experience in the supply chain, import, or logistics discipline
- Experience in the durable consumer goods industry
- Demonstrated customer service orientation

Desired Qualifications

- Familiarity with their vendor portals
- Familiarity with EDI transactions (850, 855, 856, 810)
- APICS CPIM/CSCP certification
- Licensed Customs Broker certification
