Job Summary
Supply Chain Planner responsibilities include procuring goods and services, conferring with vendors, evaluating supplier capabilities, generating RFQs, negotiating contracts within budget, maintaining costs and lead times in the ERP system (Sage/MAS 500), advising suppliers on non-conformances, compiling data for issue resolution and compliance, and issuing purchase orders with accurate costs and dates. Requires a strong sense of urgency, advanced Excel, ERP/MRP knowledge, experience in sourcing to drive cost savings, and cross-department collaboration. A college degree is preferred, or 3+ years of purchasing/supply chain/inventory management experience.
Required Qualifications
- High sense of urgency and strong attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills (intermediate/advanced).
- Basic understanding of ERP / MRP systems.
- Experience sourcing products and working with vendors to drive cost savings.
- Able to work collaboratively with different departments.
