Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading supply chain activities including strategy, inventory management, planning, warehousing, and shipping. Key responsibilities include managing warehouse operations, driving process improvements, setting and achieving logistics budgets, managing raw material purchasing, and ensuring product quality standards. Essential qualifications include leadership experience in supply chain management, knowledge of production processes, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. The role focuses on developing a lean supply chain culture and requires a hands-on approach to work while ensuring confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in leadership of supply chain operations management within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of raw material purchasing, production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing effective performance
- Knowledge of business and management principles
- Effective oral communication skills including proven skills in leading a workforce, developing and managing cooperative working relationships and resolving issues by negotiation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Focus on cost control and efficiency
- Ability to handle pressure and assess and allocate priorities
- “Can do”, hands-on approach to work
- Internal and external customer orientation
