Job Summary
Manage day-to-day procurement and supply chain activities by assigning buyer workloads, selecting suppliers, negotiating prices and schedules, and measuring on-time delivery performance. Execute Purchase Order releases aligned with the Procure To Pay process, resolve invoice discrepancies, and escalate delivery or commercial issues impacting the business. Support global commodity strategies for electronics, seals, bearings, and machining by analyzing market dynamics, cost drivers, and capacity constraints while ensuring compliance with LTA/Supplier Agreement terms. Interface with senior management in Operations, Finance, Quality, Engineering, and HR to drive performance improvements and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within manufacturing
- Aerospace & Defense experience preferred
- Strong analytical and cost modeling capabilities
- Experience managing RFx processes and supplier negotiations
- Solid understanding of contract management principles
- Knowledge of global supply markets and commodity dynamics
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings
- Effective communication skills in a global, matrixed environment
- Knowledge of A&D regulatory environment (ITAR/EAR)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Syteline, Visualetc.)
- Ability to meet export control compliance requirements
- U.S. Person status (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Electronics, Seals, Bearings, Machining and other category spend
- Understanding of LTA/Supplier Agreement spend
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Experience with RFx processes, cost analysis, and contract management
- Knowledge of A&D regulatory environment (ITAR/EAR) preferred
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of global commodity markets, including: Supply and demand dynamics
- Cost drivers (raw materials, labor, energy, etc.)
- Capacity constraints and supplier landscape
- Cost elasticity and pricing trends
- Ability to provide regular market intelligence and risk insights to the Global Commodity Sr. Manager and stakeholders
- Support development and refinement of commodity strategies
- Monitor supplier performance across quality, delivery, cost, and service metrics
- Support supplier business reviews (SBRs) and performance improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality and site teams to resolve performance issues
