Job Summary

Lead and execute procurement strategies for an industrial automation OEM, managing direct materials and key suppliers for engineered-to-order, make-to-order, and standard product manufacturing. Develop sourcing strategies for automation components, electronics, and fabricated parts while negotiating pricing, lead times, and contracts to reduce total cost of ownership. Oversee purchasing processes aligned with BOM structures and MRP/ERP demand signals, ensuring material availability to support production schedules and project milestones. Partner with Engineering on New Product Introduction, manage component lifecycle risks, and drive continuous improvement initiatives in supplier performance and procurement processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 7-10+ years of purchasing or procurement experience in a manufacturing OEM environment
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Strong experience with BOM-based purchasing and MRP-driven environments
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar)
  • Industrial automation, electrical equipment, or capital equipment OEM experience
  • Experience supporting ETO/MTO or low-to-medium volume, high-mix manufacturing
  • Global Sourcing and supplier management experience
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
  • Solid understanding of OEM manufacturing workflows and engineering dependencies
  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making capability
  • Ability to manage complexity and competing priorities in a project-based environment
  • Effective leadership and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience working in manufacturing, supply chain, or corporate environments (preferred)
  • Professional certifications (CPSM, CPIM, CSCP)
  • Experience supporting ETO/MTO or low-to-medium volume, high-mix manufacturing
