Job Summary
Lead sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management for raw materials, specialty alloys, and production supplies across two employee-owned manufacturing facilities. Optimize inventory levels, reduce excess stock, and improve accuracy while negotiating pricing and lead times with outside processing suppliers. Drive material planning and MRP activities to coordinate flow between sites and ensure traceability. Manage MRO purchasing, evaluate make-versus-buy opportunities, and develop secondary sourcing strategies to enhance supply chain reliability. Work a schedule of three days at Alloy Engineering, one day at Mach3, and one remote day.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of supply chain, purchasing, procurement, materials management, or operations experience in manufacturing environments
- Experience within fabrication, machining, metals, and industrial manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, supplier negotiations, MRP/ERP systems, and production planning
- Proven leadership experience managing purchasing or supply chain teams
- Ability to balance strategic planning with day-to-day execution
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Multi-site manufacturing experience
