Supply Chain Lead - Electronics & Automation

Job Summary
Lead sourcing and procurement for electrical, electronic, and automation components (PCBs, wiring harnesses, motors, sensors, controls) to enable Vention's automation platform. Develop and execute category strategies that balance cost, lead time, quality, and risk; collaborate with Engineering on new product introductions and design-for-manufacturing to ensure supply readiness. Manage supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews and risk assessments, and negotiate long-term supply agreements. Oversee ERP/MRP planning, maintain accurate material master data, and ensure visibility into inventory and lead times. Monitor industry trends, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Several years of procurement or sourcing experience focused on electrical, electronic, or automation components
- Strong understanding of electronic assemblies, PCBs, wiring harnesses, motors, and electrical control systems
- Experience supporting NPIs, DFM discussions, and cross-functional work with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing
- Proven expertise in supplier management, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics
- Exposure to fast-paced manufacturing environments or automation/industrial hardware
- Familiarity with Lean practices or ISO-regulated environments
- Curiosity to learn, collaborative mindset, and drive to contribute to meaningful work
