Job Summary
Supply Chain Engineer, Business Development at Amca leads technical review of opportunities, evaluating manufacturability, capacity, and supply chain readiness; develops cost estimates and bid pricing; acts as a bridge between business operations and factory engineering; analyzes design specifications, process constraints, and production approaches; stays abreast of industry standards (AS9100, NADCAP, MIL-SPEC) and procurement policy changes; collaborates with multiple teams to ensure accurate technical content and feasible delivery timelines; prepares for post-award technical reviews and identifies potential capital investments or partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 3+ years in a full-time technical hardware engineering role in aerospace, defense, or a similar technical industry
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and military/aerospace specifications
- Strong understanding of common manufacturing processes including CNC machining, casting, forging, sheet metal fabrication, welding, and surface treatments
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- U.S. citizenship required (government contract work)
