Job Summary
Armstrong Ceiling Solutions is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Coordinator to support movement of product across import, purchasing, freight-forwarder coordination, supplier follow-up, inventory visibility, and inbound order execution. You will manage purchase orders, supplier updates, freight movements, delivery milestones, shipping information, and stock visibility, coordinating with international/local suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, distributors, and sales/customer-facing teams to ensure reliable stock availability and on-time delivery across Australia and New Zealand. The role requires hands-on coordination in supply chain, purchasing, imports, freight, and inventory with a focus on accountability, clear communication, and risk management in a busy national environment. You will work under the Supply Chain Manager with responsibilities spanning international and local purchasing, order confirmations, production readiness, freight movements, inbound imports, ERP data integrity, and supplier performance management. The position emphasizes strong operational execution, structured processes, and continuous improvement across purchasing discipline and freight visibility.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years’ experience in supply chain coordination, purchasing, import coordination, inventory control, or a related operational role
- Experience coordinating imports into Australia, ideally involving international suppliers, sea freight, container movements, freight forwarders, customs brokers, or inbound freight milestones
- Experience raising, managing, and following up purchase orders from placement through to delivery
- Strong understanding of supplier order confirmations, production status, dispatch timing, ETDs, ETAs, delays, and escalation points
- Exposure to inventory control, inbound stock visibility, replenishment, stock availability, supply planning, or warehouse/distributor supply requirements
- A proactive and accountable working style, with the ability to follow through and take ownership of outcomes
- A qualification in supply chain, logistics, procurement, business, international trade, or a related field (highly regarded)
- Vendor management or supplier performance experience
- Experience in building products, construction, manufacturing, wholesale, distribution, import, or project supply environments
