Job Summary
Supply Chain Coordinator / Purchasing Agent responsible for managing daily purchasing activities (purchase orders, supplier coordination), developing sourcing strategies, negotiating pricing and delivery terms, maintaining supplier records, coordinating with sales/planning for inventory, ensuring quality standards, supporting cost-reduction initiatives, analyzing inventory and processes to improve efficiency, supporting engineering changes and product launches, and serving as a liaison between suppliers, manufacturing, and internal teams. Requires strong organization, communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration, with a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years in purchasing/supply chain; hybrid on-site in Indianapolis, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related role
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Negotiation abilities
- Understanding of purchasing, manufacturing, and logistics processes
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or supply chain systems preferred
