Job Summary
Coordinate product inventories across 32 warehouses and manage rail fleet operations with 400+ railcars while processing purchase orders and balancing HCl inventory. Support plant operations for municipal water and steel mills, analyze product movement costs, and generate safety and sales analysis reports. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve non-conformance issues and implement corrective actions. Maintain laboratory data management for quality control and assist the management team with new project strategies. This corporate office-based role requires availability after hours and weekends for urgent issues, with occasional travel and hybrid work flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Fluent in Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to operate in a mainframe and PC environment
- Ability to have a flexible work schedule, being on call by phone 24/7
- Ability to understand and recognize geographies and logistical shipping advantages and disadvantages
- 1-3 years' experience in the supply chain, customer service, transportation, or logistics field
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers, during audits and/or employee organizations
- Ability to communicate effectively to management and other stakeholders
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
