Supply Chain Contracts Specialist

Job Summary

Review, draft, and negotiate supplier contracts for materials, services, and equipment while identifying key negotiation points and developing practical solutions. Lead contract discussions with suppliers to resolve disagreements, draft redlines and counterproposals, and push back on terms that do not align with company policies or risk standards. Partner with Procurement, Legal, and internal teams to manage escalations, maintain accurate records in the contract management system, and improve standard templates and processes. Identify legal, commercial, and compliance risks while advising stakeholders on negotiation strategies and acceptable risk levels. Manage supplier onboarding and maintain positive relationships throughout the contract lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Post secondary degree in Business, Legal Studies, Supply Chain, or related field; or high school diploma combined with relevant professional experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of contract administration experience in a supply chain function
  • Experience working with procurement, supply chain, legal, or other cross-functional teams
  • Experience working with global vendors or in regulated industries
  • Experience reviewing contractual terms and coordinating internal approvals and escalations

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience in aviation or aerospace
  • Experience working in contract lifecycle management (CLM) systems, such as Cobblestone or similar platforms
  • Experience supporting government contractor compliance requirements
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certificated Professional Contract Manager (CPCM) and/or similar certification
  • Ability to Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills. manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills with the ability to balance business needs and contractual risk
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable having difficult conversations when contract terms or business requests create unnecessary risk
